feelfit

Steve created the dynamic system behind feelfit.com. His challenge was to put 20 years of personal training experience and its thought process into an automated system that would allow millions of users to experience the same unique personal service that his clients have grown used to.

Steve also created the feelfit points system which is patent pending and allows users to monitor their activity levels and achieve their long term health and fitness objectives.

RADIO 1 - Sunday Surgery

Steve is the fitness expert on the Radio 1 Sunday Surgery hosted by Aled. The show is targeted at 15-29 year olds and is not only fast moving but also comes with a warning that no subject is off limits, the live show attracts literally thousands of questions and text which certainly keep the presenter and experts on their toes.

 

Nestle

In 2006/7 I worked with Nestle on a Global project to create Monica. This was my first move into online training. As an animated character, she was the Lara Croft of Personal Training. I had to create all the training programmes and advice for the campaign that went to 15 Countries and was translated into 7 languages. But, more exciting and perhaps bizarrely I was Monica. Because all of the animations of her were created using videos of me performing the exercises.

It must have worked because they asked me to enhance the system the next year and Monica had lost 10lbs, had a smaller waist and great legs!

 

Reebok Deck

Reebok Deck is an awesome product. I got involved with the great team of scientists at PST Limited at Loughborough University, where the product was at a prototype stage, and with some more development I was privileged to launch the Deck at the World’s biggest fitness show in Las Vegas.

 

Race For Life

Great project this, and a classic case of less is more. When I took this development role on in 2006, the previous training programmes were quite technical and challenging. I took a long hard look at the event and despite saying ‘Race’ in the title, for the participants it was all about the experience, not performance. So I created a measured 6 week build up for the women doing the race. The vast majority of them downloaded the programmes and stuck them on the fridge. This was probably the first training that many of these women had ever done, so I feel pretty proud that the programmes were used by up to 800,000 women.

 

Kelloggs Special K – Shape Mate

As sure as there will be fireworks at midnight on January 1st, every year Special K will have a Drop a Jean Size Challenge. The challenge is a very scientific led project with research carried out by Universities across the UK. A team of 10 state registered Nutritionists worked on the food content of the multi million pound media campaign, and I created and was the spokes person for the fitness material.
